First Day of School

  • Students in grades 1-8 begin on Friday, August 7. On the first day of school, parents are invited to park and walk your child to his or her classroom, if you choose to do so. Carpool, Bus Service, and Extended Care will also be running on the first day of school. 
  • PreK and Kindergarten will have their first full day of school on Monday, August 10th.  On the first day of school, parents are invited to park and walk your child to his or her classroom, if you choose to do so.  Immediately following drop-off, we will have a parent reception in the school library.  
  • PreK and Kindergarten students should receive a letter from their teacher in the mail inviting them to their special “Meet and Greet” time on August 6th or 7th.  You may pick your day and time through Signup Genius at the following link, MEET and GREET CONFERENCES.

School Supplies

If you ordered School Supplies, they will be waiting for your child on the first day in his or her classroom. Please reference the school supplies list on our website if you plan to purchase school supplies yourself, SCHOOL SUPPLIES K-8, SCHOOL SUPPLIES PRESCHOOL.

Summer Reading

Please see the following link for summer reading information, SUMMER READING. Summer Reading test dates for students entering grades 3-6 is Tuesday, June 16 and Thursday, July 16.  

Students may only test on one (1) book per testing date. Students may wait until we return to school in August to take on or both summer reading tests.

Bus Service

EBR has requested that each individual family complete the following form, BUS FORM, if your child(ren) plan to ride the bus to and/or from school this year.  This form is only required if you plan to utilize bus service.  PreSchool students who are age 4 or 5 may ride the bus.  They must have someone 16 years of age or older with them when they get on the bus and when they get off the bus.  There are no exceptions to this rule.  Three-year-old students may not ride the bus.


If you plan to utilize the Diocese of Baton Rouge Child Nutrition Program for school lunch, please visit the Child Nutrition website, SCHOOL CAFETERIA.

Extended Care Information

Extended Care for students in preschool through first grades will be located in the preschool building.  

Extended Care for students in  2nd through 8th will be located in the 5th and 6th Grade building.

To register for Extended Care, please print out the form and send required attachment to school.
