East Baton Rouge is collecting information on students who wish to use EBR transportation for the 2023-2024 school year. To verify that your child can receive EBR bus transportation, click here to input your child's pickup and dropoff address.
If your address is zoned to St. Thomas More, please click here to fill out this Google form in its entirety for EACH child. This form must be filled out PER CHILD and not per family. If you only fill this form out for one child, that will be the only child EBR will assign to a bus.
In order to make sure EBR assigns your child(ren) to a bus, this form must be completed by May 10. If this form is not completed by May 10, your child may not be assigned to a bus for the start of the 2023-2024 school year.
If you have questions regarding bus services, please contact the EBR Transportation office at 225-226-3784, or Amy Rispone at 225-275-2820 or risponea@stmbr.org.
Due to federal guidelines, we must discourage bringing outside restaurant food to the STM cafeteria to eat with your child. If you do bring restaurant food, it must be removed from its original, branded packaging and stored in unbranded containers before coming to campus.
Help us spread the word! We are accepting applications for new students for the 2023-2024 school year. Let your friends and family know we are accepting applications for new students going into PK3 through 8th grade at stmbr.org/apply.
Yearbooks are memories from cover to cover! It's time to purchase your child's St. Thomas More 2022-2023 Utopia Yearbook. Options include recognition ads, personalization and accessories. Click here to order!
We are happy to report that our Preschool roof replacement is completed, and gym roof work is under way. Materials for the gym arrived on-site this week, and they are in the process of making panels.
Thank you to our participants, MCs, backstage crew and Mrs. Sara Wisdom for all of their hard work making today's Talent Show possible!
Students in grades 3 through 6, who have reached their point goal for the third quarter, earn an alternate dress day and a chance to shop in the STM AR Store on March 23. For alternate dress guidelines, see page 27 in the Parent-Student Handbook.
Rosalind Bunn, co-author of All Aboard, Louisiana!, will visit and read with our students in Preschool through 4th grade on April 6.
All Aboard, Louisiana! is a pictorial train ride across the state of Louisiana, with richly detailed illustrations introducing children to the state’s beautiful and historic treasures. At each stop across the five regions of Louisiana, riders will sample delicious dishes, share in the area’s unique culture, and meet the state’s wild residents.
Originally from south Louisiana, Rosalind Bunn is a veteran elementary school teacher. While she has dreamed of owning a bookstore, as the author of nine children’s books, she is well on her way to filling the shelves with her own tales! Rosalind lives in Marietta, Georgia, with her family and a pet tarantula. All Aboard, Louisiana! is her fourth collaboration with her daughter, Maggie Bunn.
Click here to order a signed copy of Rosalind Bunn's books All Aboard, Louisiana!, All Aboard, Georgia!, and Beau's Bayou Treasure. Each book is $20. The last day to order is Tuesday, March 28.
Fun fact: Mrs. Bunn and STM's very own Mrs. Tracy Gaspard attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Plaucheville together!
SPRING ALLERGIES: Spring allergy season is the time of year when the pollen count is at its highest, usually March through May. Allergy symptoms vary from mild to severe and include: itchy, red, watery eyes; sneezing; rashes/hives and itchy skin; and respiratory symptoms/wheezing. If your child suffers from seasonal allergy symptoms, now is the time to start taking daily preventative medications like antihistamines, eye drops, and inhalers (if prescribed). Installing new air filters in your car and home and washing your hands, face, and clothing after going outdoors is also helpful. Ask a physician for treatment recommendations if symptoms are persistent. An allergy specialist can help those that have asthma or suffer from severe symptoms during allergy season.
