• Only tickets are accepted at MIssion Day booths. Tickets may be purchased online for 50¢ each. Online presales close this Sunday, October 12, 2025. A ticket booth also will be open during Mission Day. Students may purchase tickets with cash or check on Mission Day. Adults on campus may use Venmo. Click here to purchase tickets.
• Pre-purchase pizza and a Sprite for brunch in classrooms before Mission Day activities begin. This is a popular treat among many of the students. Click here to purchase pizza and Sprite.
• Volunteer opportunities! With more than 30 ways you can volunteer on campus for Mission Day, there is something for everyone! We still need more volunteers, so if you haven't signed up already, please consider helping with setup or cleanup, food, game booths, and more! Please click here to volunteer for Mission Day! To volunteer at Mission Day, you must be Child Protection Certified. If you are not certified at the time of the Mission Day, you can still help with setup or cleanup — and all help is greatly appreciated!
• Due to safety and liability coverage, we cannot allow any other children or siblings, younger or older, not enrolled at STM, to attend Mission Day. Only students enrolled in Kindergarten through 8th grade at STM may be present.

Reminder: Forgotten Items Handbook Policy

• Students can use the school office phone if they have forgotten their lunch or eyeglasses. Cell phones are not allowed to be used on campus, so the student must come to the school office.
• Students will not be allowed to call for forgotten books, signed papers, or other forgotten items, except for lunches and glasses.
• Any item brought to the school will be given to the student at announcement time. If it is an assignment due today, the student may lose points as it was not in class.
• If a parent brings a student’s assignment to school, class will not be disturbed to call the student to the office. The office staff will email the teacher to notify her it is in the office, but we cannot guarantee the student will receive it that same day. It is important that students learn responsibility by bringing all materials to the school themselves, in a timely manner.
• If a child has forgotten lunch, the parent may mark the lunch bag with the child's full name, grade and symbol and bring the lunch to the school office.
• For safety reasons and to help with understanding responsibility, students are not allowed into classrooms and/or buildings after dismissal to retrieve forgotten items.

Nurse's Notes

Vision and Hearing Screenings are complete! THANK YOU to all of the volunteers that made our screenings a success!

‍Vision Screenings were performed in grades PK, K, 1, 3, 5, and 7 by the Lions Club for students that returned the signed consent form. The results are indicated on the bottom of the signed consent and have been sent home. If your child did not pass, additional information will be sent home with your child later this month.

‍Hearing Screenings were performed on ALL STUDENTS in grades K, 1, 3, 5, and 7. Students that did not pass two hearing screenings received an envelope with a referral letter and a copy of the screening in an envelope. Please sign and return the bottom portion of the letter to Nurse Rochelle.

If your child(ren) pass the hearing screening, no notifications are made. Please email Nurse Rochelle if you have any questions at rochelle@stmbr.org.

‍OCTOBER is an ideal time to get your annual flu vaccinations! Flu vaccines have been shown to decrease the frequency of flu and the severity of flu cases in those vaccinated. In children, the flu vaccine has been shown to decrease flu-related hospitalization by 41% and emergency room visits by 50%.

FORMED WEBSITE: St. Thomas More is a partner in the exciting 24/7 online, web-based digital formation series, FORMED, produced by the Augustine Institute and Ignatius Press.

What is FORMED? FORMED is designed to help adults grow in their faith at all levels – how we think, how we pray, and how we live. FORMED also includes a growing list of resources for children. Access is free to all St. Thomas More parishioners and their families anywhere and anytime on computers, tablets and phones.

How to register:

• Go to formed.org/signup (where you are automatically redirected to the AI sign in page)
• Enter your email and click "Next"
• Enter your name, agree to the Terms of Use, and click "Sign Up"
• Select your parish by entering the parish zip code (70815), then click "Sign Up."
• You will then be taken to the main FORMED site and should be automatically signed in and be able to access all the content.

How do parishioners log into Formed that previously had access?

• Go to formed.org
• In the upper right corner, select "Sign In."
• If you are already actively logged on, you will be brought to the main Formed site. If you are not logged on, the system will invite you with a password or 6-digit code.
