GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: A day that encourages people to do good. Over 13 years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires millions of people to donate, volunteer, and spread awareness. This year, GivingTuesday is December 2.
We have an incredible opportunity to make a real difference together. We're asking for your support of the STM 2025-2026 Annual Fund. To celebrate GivingTuesday in a meaningful way, we invite you to prayerfully consider giving a financial gift on December 2. Your gift can help us reach our goals:
Ways to give: To give online, you may go to stmbr.org/annualfund or Venmo @STMBRschool. To pay by check, please drop by the school office or mail to: St. Thomas More Catholic School Annual Fund, 11400 Sherbrook Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Please call the school office at 225-275-2820 if you need assistance.
Your contribution is more than a gift; it is an investment in our students that will have a lasting impact. Thank you for your support on GivingTuesday and every day!
Do you have a child entering school next year? Do you know a family looking for a school? Applications for new students are open at stmbr.org/apply. We have limited availability for qualified candidates. At this time, we have a wait list for 4th and 7th grade in 2026-2027. Please note: Applications are for new students only; current students will reenroll for 2026-2027 in January.

In addition to Inka's Uniforms, STM sweatshirts and sweatpants are now available at School Time Uniforms, 7745 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
THANK YOU to Sarah Morris and Lauren Junot, our co-chairs for Grandparents Day, and to all of our volunteers, who helped with the reception and donations. You all made it a special day for our students and their loved ones!

Please send in your Community Coffee Cash for Schools Proofs of Purchase by December 19 to your child's homeroom or the school office. All Community coffees, teas, sugars, and coffee filters contain Cash for Schools Proofs of Purchase. At St. Thomas More, program funds collected go directly to STM teachers for their classrooms!
We’re nearly halfway through the school year—how are your child’s School Tool Box supplies holding up? All items are guaranteed to last the full year, and anything that doesn’t will be replaced at no cost. If you need replacement supplies, simply email STMBRSchoolSupplies@gmail.com.
MEDICATION POLICY REMINDER: Students are not allowed to have any medications in their possession on campus. Students that take medication at home cannot bring it to school to take on campus. Nurse Rochelle cannot administer OTC medications sent to school by parents to students during the school day. Parents are allowed to come to school during the day to administer medication to their child in the office if needed. Please make arrangements outside of school to transfer medications between parents if students are changing households. Nurse Rochelle can administer medications to students with proper documentation completed by parents and physicians for chronic conditions (i.e. asthma, ADHD, epilepsy, diabetes, migraines, etc.). Please call or email Nurse Rochelle if you have any questions about medication for your child(ren) at school. First Aid office 225-272-3072 or rochelle@stmbr.org.
Diseases of the week: FLU, or influenza, and stomach virus. Symptoms of flu include: fever, sore throat, cough, body aches, malaise, headache, stomach upset and runny nose. Prescription medications can shorten the duration of symptoms, but should be started within 48 hours of symptom onset.
Stomach virus is highly contagious, so we ask that you please keep students home for 24 hours after vomiting and diarrhea have stopped. When they do return to school, please send your child with a bland lunch until they can tolerate a regular diet.
Please remember our 24 hour illness policy: Students should be free of fever (<100.0 without the aid of medication), vomiting, diarrhea or other contagious symptoms for 24 hours prior to returning to school. Students diagnosed with Strep must be taking antibiotics for 24 hours before returning to school, even if no fever is present.
Tracking illnesses: Nurse Rochelle keeps track of the number of cases of flu, strep, covid, and other contagious illnesses. Please email rochelle@stmbr.org if your child is diagnosed with a contagious illness.
