Do you have a child entering school next year? Do you know a family looking for a school? Applications for new students are open at stmbr.org/apply. We have limited availability for qualified candidates. At this time, we have a wait list for 4th and 7th grade in 2026-2027. Please note: Applications are for new students only; current students will reenroll for 2026-2027 in January.
On November 3, our Home & School Association Board attended the Diocesan General Member Meeting, where they were able to connect with other HSA boards across the diocese, share ideas, and begin building relationships with schools in our wider community. It was a great chance to bring back fresh perspectives and strengthen our network.
Diseases of the week: FLU, or influenza and stomach virus.
Symptoms of flu include: fever, sore throat, cough, body aches, malaise, headache, stomach upset and runny nose. Prescription medications can shorten the duration of symptoms, but should be started within 48 hours of symptom onset.
Stomach virus is highly contagious, so we ask that you please keep students home for 24 hours after vomiting and diarrhea have stopped. When they do return to school, please send your child with a bland lunch until they can tolerate a regular diet.
Please remember our 24 hour illness policy: Students should be free of fever (<100.0 without the aid of medication), vomiting, diarrhea or other contagious symptoms for 24 hours prior to returning to school. Students diagnosed with Strep must be taking antibiotics for 24 hours before returning to school, even if no fever is present.
Tracking illnesses: Nurse Rochelle keeps track of the number of cases of flu, strep, covid, and other contagious illnesses. Please email rochelle@stmbr.org if your child is diagnosed with a contagious illness.
