FAQs

Answers to common questions about STM Athletics.

What grades can participate?

STM Athletics serves students in grades 3 through 8. Both competitive and recreational programs are available for all skill levels. Every student-athlete has a place on our teams.

When does registration open?

Registration opens in June for fall sports, November for winter sports, and February for spring sports. Dates are posted on the athletic calendar and announced via email to families.

What is the athletic packet?

The athletic packet includes health forms, emergency contact information, and policy acknowledgments. All students in grades 3-8 must complete and submit it before competing.

Do I need a physical exam?

Yes. A current physical exam is required for all student-athletes. Documentation must be included in the athletic packet before participation begins.

Are there recreational options?

Yes. Intramural basketball and volleyball provide recreational opportunities for students who want to play without competitive pressure. Both are available during their respective seasons.

What about cheerleading and dance?

Cheerleading and dance are offered as separate programs. They build confidence and teamwork while supporting other athletic events throughout the year.

How much does it cost?

Registration fees vary by sport. Financial assistance is available for families who need it. Contact the athletic director for details about costs and aid options.

Can my child play multiple sports?

Many students play multiple sports across different seasons. Check the athletic calendar for schedule conflicts before registering for more than one program.

What if I have more questions?

The athletic director is here to help. Reach out by email or phone with any questions about programs, registration, or eligibility.
