No January Tuition Draft

Due to reenrollment for the 2024-2025 school year, as a courtesy to our families on 10-month tuition payment plans, there is no tuition payment drafted in January. Reenrollment for current families is January 15-31. The reenrollment fee of $360 per returning student will be drafted at the time of reenrollment. The fee for returning students who reenroll after January 31 will increase to $460. You will receive a separate email with reenrollment details on January 15.

Nurse's Notes

DISEASES OF THE WEEK: Flu and Covid. Symptoms are similar to other upper respiratory viruses and include: fever, chills, body aches, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, fatigue, headache, congestion or runny nose, nausea/vomiting, and diarrhea. Please follow your doctor’s recommendations for returning to school. Please keep students home until contagious symptoms have subsided for 24 hours. Siblings that do not have symptoms/test negative do not have to be quarantined.

ATTENTION PRESCHOOL PARENTS: After the 4th birthday, your child is eligible to receive shots required for kindergarten entry. If your child receives immunizations, please send a copy of the updated immunization record to school. You will be notified if your child’s immunizations are overdue in the state database. We are required to keep up to date immunization records on file at the school.

ATTENTION 5th GRADE PARENTS: State law requires that students entering 6th grade receive booster shots after turning 11-years-old. These vaccines include: Tdap and Meningococcal. Please make an appointment with your health care provider after your child’s 11th birthday. Shot records can be faxed, emailed, or sent in an envelope to school. Our fax number is 225-275-0376. Nurse Rochelle's email address is rochelle@stmbr.org. Shot records for entering 6th graders are due by JULY 15, 2024. If your child will not be 11-years-old before starting 6th grade, they are allowed a grace period to get the vaccines after their birthday.

Home & School Scoop

A big thank you to all the Class Parents who organized the class Christmas parties! The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and the teachers were sent off to Christmas break with ample celebration! You all did an amazing job!

Community Coffee Cash for Schools: Please continue collecting Proofs of Purchase from all your Community Coffee products. Funds collected go directly to STM teachers for their classrooms! Save your own Proofs of Purchase, plus consider posting this easy ask flyer at you or your family’s places of work or your STM family-owned local places of business. Send Proofs of Purchase to your child’s homeroom teacher or the front office – whichever is easier! For questions about Community Coffee Cash for Schools, contact chairs Colleen Bryant and/or Beth Morgan.

Home & School is a home-school partnership involving collaborative working relationships between families and schools and we look forward to working with you! Go to stmbr.org/hsa23 for information about STM Home and School events and committees, and to sign up as a volunteer. Please note that to take advantage of these volunteer opportunities you must be Child Protection Certified.
